If I were you, I'd want to stay where Nann stayed! Check out her thread on her birthday at AGPNY!

The Plaza is closed now and being turned into condos? That's awful! What will happen to Eloise?

Just a note on travel and hotels. We always use the 800 number for hotel reservations in the back of an entertainment book. They have great reduced rates in the city. Barnes and nobles has them for sale for 25ish or so? They seem to always make up their price in savings. Also check out the hotel website for package deals or just be bold and ask for a discounted rate when you book. DH and I were in the city mid week, which saved us a bundle.
I also have had tons of success with booking hotels and flights through cheaptickets.com I highly recommend them.

Thanks to everyone for all the good ideas. I'll have to take a look at our entertainment book. We're going in mid June and I can't wait. I feel guilty as it is just my husband and me. We didn't to leave our kids at home. I went to NYC about 8 years ago and had such a great time. Megan

The Plaza is still open for tea. If you want to eat in the AGP cafe, make reservations NOW!

When we went in November, we stayed at the Milford Plaza. It was very reasonable for NYC and I booked in online via Expedia. It was nice and very close to Times Square, and we also walked to AGP...every day for 3 days in a row!
